name Rodger Hardy is a nationally published freelance writer who began his career in journalism as a copy boy for the Sacramento Bee. His last newspaper was the (Salt Lake City) Deseret News where he spent 15 years. He taught at Dixie College in St. George, Utah, and then California where for the next 20 years worked for a string of newspapers. In the early 1980s he lived in Palm Springs as real estate editor for the Desert Sun. His freelance career began in 1986, specializing in real estate and related content in Palm Springs. Among his awards is a Presidential Citation for interior design coverage from the Palm Springs Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers as well as numerous other awards.
